Mike started writing pop songs in high school. Within a few years he began to mix some of his own compositions into the set lists of cover bands he played with in clubs around the country. He has opened for well-known Canadian artists such as the Headstones and David Usher. After winning a battle of the bands competition, he had the opportunity to record some of his own music in a state of the art studio at Cherry Beach in Toronto. Some musicians love to perform, but Mike's real passion lies in writing and arranging music and lyrics and he continues to record his songs whenever he has the chance.
